WIPs and Finishes

I have finished a crocheted hat with some heavier weight yarn and have made progress on my cross stitch project Mr. Grinch from The Cross Stitch Studio. I've also started my first, HAED, Purple Reign. I've also done some scrapbooking on the Memorial Album of my mom. I've worked on a cotton afghan with Lily 'n Cream Swimming Pool. I also got a free pattern of St. Louis Catherdral, New Orleans, LA, USA, from a free Facebook group. I've ordered fabric and floss for the Cathedral and will start that when my order comes. I picked up my Lesley Teare Owl Sampler this week and am working on that too.

I was not aware it had been so long since my last post. I have been busy crafting for Christmas and after Christmas. I am not posting all my pictures because some things still need to be sent to some people and I don't want to spoil a surprise.

The first picture is Arctic Wolf by Mike Vickery. Second is my February 2021 progress picture of Christmas Cottage by TheCrossStitchStudio.

Next is my cotton afghan I am working on with multi dishie yarn from knit picks and swan in between the multi cotton yarns. Then is the hats and scarf I made for myself from Impeccable Yarn from Michael in Mint and Royal and the afghan I am making with these colors.

Next are the 2 scrapbook pages from the Memorial Scrapbook about my Mother that I am making for my kids and my nephew.

Next is the May Owl from the Owl Sampler by Lesley Teare and a Merry Christmas Design I did before Christmas from a Leisure Arts Book of Christmas Designs.

Next are 2 scarves I made to use up stash. A hat I made for my daughter, a hat and scarf I made for my daughter for Christmas, and a washcloth/dishcloth with a pattern from sheyarns.com.

That is some of my craftings since my last post and I am really, really going to try to be better about posting regular updates here.

Works in Progress

Have not finished any projects lately but planning to go thru my wips of cross stitch and just keep out Christmas Cottage and 1 lighthouse project to do backstitch on--its Alcatraz and 1 birth sampler project. I am close to finishing a bookmark but will work on these 2 first and then the bookmark. I am posting some pictures of wips here.

The owls are from Lesley Teare. The lighthouse is Lighthouses if the West Coast designed by Virginia Creekman. The bookmark is from Hold That Thought Bookmarks by Sandy Orton produced by Kooler Design Studio. I completely forgot I had finished some Christmas ornaments this year so I do have a few finishes. They were posted earlier in the year.

As you can see there are some crafting pictures and some coloring pictures. Working more on the Owl sampler seen above from Lesley Teare Designs and trying to get that finished. It will eventually be a memorial piece about my mom who died in December 2018. How are you holding up during this quarantine time?

I miss my daughters so much and am looking forward to a time when I can go pick them up and go to McDonalds to eat with them.

Have finished 1 baby afghan for relative. Just need to wash it and get it in the mail. Have been working on Cross Stitch Ornaments from Cyberstitchers and have finished 2 and working on the 3rd. Pictures are at the bottom of this post.  Also working on an Afghan for my son in Baltimore Raven colors (Black and Purple); the border I will do in white.

So much has happened since my last post.  I have moved and am living with relatives in a town closer to Richmond.  I have been working on a number of things.  I am posting some pictures at the bottom of this post for you to see some recent projects.  I am working a lot on baby afghans.  I have 2 to donate to a local charity organization in town and 1 I am waiting to see if my coworker comes back to work and will give that one to her.  I have 2 other ones I am doing and 1 is for a relative and the other will probably be donated.  I have some of my yarn in storage and need to go through it and get it organized so I can use it up and then I will have some free totes in storage.  I have also found my crochet needle case today so glad to have that to keep track of all my needles.

I have finished a number of projects lately.  I have done a few sets of 1 dishtowel and 2 dishcloths in a variegated yellow and in begonia.  Both yarns are from Knitpicks.com and they are from the Dishie Collection by Knitpicks which is their cotton yarn.  I hope to get a few more sets done this week.

I do not want to post any pictures yet because trying to work on a video to do as vlog to add to youtube.com.  My channel on youtube is Cryscrafts Toller.

I hope later this week to type up my script for the video and get it recorded.  Not sure how I am going to add pictures of the things I have done that I cannot hold up to display on the video.  Still trying to figure that out.

My Facebook page is under Cryscrafts.  I need to try to find out how to do an Instagram business account.  So many things to research to figure things out.  Hopefully, I will get there.
